worn piston ring or A worn valve guide

just wondering what kinda costs would i be looking at if either of these two jobs was done? just to get a rough idea? anyone know?

From previous posts, if it's Tom's, it's a 2.5td 1996. I don't remember a lot of members mentioning having this done and those that have, prices will vary. So it may also be helpful to ring or email garages that are in your area and ask them for quotes. :)

seems never ending with me. Came to car today to find coolant all over floor :/ back in the garage it went today. ho hum. thanks for all the replies anyway. :)
