oil?????????????

hi guys, been told that the oil and filter needs to be changed every 6 months on my 2.5 diesel freeda, is this true? if so what oil is the best for it and how much is needed? ive got 101000 klm on the clock.

every 12 months is fine with modern oils,unless your really banging on the miliage.
i use 5w 30 semi synthetic,-------5w for the good cold start protection,-------30 for the warmed up protection.

ups forgot the amount usually about 6 litres,if i remember right i buy in bulk so i just tip it in till its at the full mark.

Recommended is every 5000km or every 6 months for the oil & filter every 10,000km or yearly, but as Ady says this is based on old tech mineral oils, so it's up to you really
6 litres if you're just doing the oil, 6.7 litres with the filter.
