Although we have used "The Bongo" (its a freda really) fairly regularly mainly for transporting mattresses, beds and fridges for offspring and relatives, the aft hasn't been used since last year, until it was required over the weekend. But when it came to it nothing happened. Help, whats gone wrong, where do I look?
Engine was running, handbrake on, in "Park" pressed button, nothing!

Hi,
Make sure the rubber seal is not stuck to the roof then, check fuse No 12 30 amp,in the cab by your right knee.
PS does your hand brake light come on when you apply the hand brake?

If its not the fuse, then try the connectors on the control unit, that is situated in the rear offside pillar, you will need to remove the internal trim. There was a case recently where that was the problem.

30 amp fuse OK, No handbrake light though! Is there a loose connection on the handbrake per chance?

There's a switch under the centre console, that works the handbrake light - try cleaning it up.

Problem sorted! Switch on rear of handbrake not making good contact, spring looks a little tired I'll upgrade it I think. Many thanks all.
