i intend to fit an extra fuse box to the removable panel just below the steering wheel ,but i need a source of power, for both "always on" and " on with ignition only "

so where can i get this power off the main fuse block (near right leg) WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE FUSE BOX

or what colour are the wires etc

or for on with ignition only , can i get it off the ignition switch etc

this will be for some gizmos and gadgets i want to fit, and do,nt want to tap into existing fused lines as bongo wiring looks so thin, and running at it maximum capable capacity already .

Go to the "normal" fuse box by your right knee...remove the flap....remove 2 x screws.....pull the box forward and get to the back, top row.....2 "BIG" thick wires which are the main feeds to the box.

One is ignition on live and the other permanant live.

Have you sourced the extra fusebox yet. I did mine recently and it was a real P in the A to loop in and out for the feeds, couldn't get a bus bar fuse board anywhere.

dobby ,yes i,ve got some (2) with 4 positions per block, from my local car spares shop, off the shelf , complete with whatever fuses i wanted.

4 in,s and 4 outs per block, i will join all the in,s to make a common rail, then through individsual fuses to each device

think they take any fuse up to about 30+ amps , like the normal type fuse

can,t remember the price but was cheap
