Hi. New to this techmalarckie! Need help/ideas please.
Bongo Diesel. All was fine. After lack of usage wouldnt start. Fully reCharged Battery and checked. Told all was fine with it.
Charge and discharge all ok. Barely turns the engine as though drained. Wont fire.
Cheers.

Agree, plus check all the leads are clean and tight, might be worth taking off the battery terminals and cleaning with some fine sandpaper, also clean the inside of the battery clamps.
Make sure the clamps are tight.(I think someone traced their problems to a loose clamp.
Check that the battery earth and engine earths are in good condition, as they may have corroded whilst the Bongo was laid up.

Sound advice and always start (excuse the pun) with the basics....Clean up terminals and check the tightness of the clamps......... Could still be a cell on it's way out in the battery....and if your unsure of battery age or if it has a JIS number.....bin it ...

if you are going to clean the battery terminals,
disconnect negative terminal ( -)first ,then the positive (+)last
when you reconnect ,reverse the order ,that is :-
positive (+) first , then negative (-) last
