Rev counter not working

My mates rev counter has stopped working.
Side panel in foot well got knocked off and stuck accelerator down, revving arse off it!!
Rev counter not worked since!
Fuse??

All the instruments come from one fuse;

so if the speedo and other indicator lamps are working its not the fuse much more likely that the wiring loom was disturbed and perhaps a broken wire in it.
