Track rod ends - torque settings?

Post by steveyd » Wed Dec 22, 2010 5:04 pm

Hi,

I'm replacing my track rod ends (along with new hubs and lower wishbones too) but the new rod ends come with a nyloc bolt rather than a castellated nut and split pin. Can anybody tell me the torque settings for the rod ends (and if you have them handy for the big 22mm hub nuts and and wishbone bolts ;) ). I've asked Santa for the Bongo manual (a search suggested they are all in that) but I think he's got snowed in!

cheers!

Hi Steve - I find that tightening them up til they snap then back half a turn suffices............

Others on here might be more accurate.
