Our new shiny white Bongo has a chipped speedo, I haven't dealt with one of these before, can I simply remoove it as we are in Portugal and kilometres are much easier for us than miles
Thanks

yes, just remove the closk set and the chip usually situated behind them, just reconnect the blue/white wire in the centre loom (or right hand loom depending on age of vehicle) and vehicle will read in kms. Some converters put the chip on the gearbox

Just got in behind the speedo, and found the chip, a small black plastic box with four wires, three, blue red and green are attached to the flexible circuit with screws. I assume you simply disconect and replace screws. the fourth yellow wire is connected to the side of the blue and white wire coming from the loom. I connect this blue and white wire to the bit sticking out of the middle connector from the loom to the flex circuit.
Sorry to be pedantic but sitting out here in the Algarve help is a long way away if I cock it up.
Thanks

you are correct
make sure the screws go back in and are tight enough not to come loose
