fumes fixed

Post by jutwit » Thu Feb 24, 2011 10:45 pm

had my freeda back from a new garage today, and they fixed the problem, it was eating the gasket between the manifold and exhaust on a weekly basis, the problem was a fixing strap of some kind that comes off a bracket off the gearbox about 10 inches down from the manifold was not there! he couldnt source one so he fabricated one up and stuck it on, i also asked him to have a look for an oil leak as ive noticed a few spots on the drive this last week, it was the sump plug not tight! so he tightened it up and checked and all ok. and he only charged me £20, :D so there are still some honest decent people out there :D and now im driving along with outside air coming in and not misting up, very happy days. :D
