Back on the forum for advice

Post by nickyroy » Sun Mar 13, 2011 7:01 pm

Hi guys
Well, always get good advice here, so am back with a small, but annoying problem: passenger side electric window just stopped working a couple of days ago. Before I started taking door panels off etc thought I would see if there was a simple solution, like fuse. If so, where would I find it!
Thanks
Nick

Does it still work from the drivers side switch?

If not its likely to be a broken wire in the loom by the door hinge.

Is it just the n/s one? Not unusual for the switch on the driver's side to get knocked to 'Off'.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

Whoops - didn't even notice the switch had been knocked to off - just assumed the window had broken. Well, problem solved with the mere 'flick of a switch'. Thanks Bob. Mister Munkey: I was thinking it might have been a wire as had new speakers fitted and they took both door panels off; guess I was fearing the worst, when was just a very stupid owner fault!

That's an easy oversight nick... easily done, glad it's sorted. :D
