All week the sun has shone in East Lancs and I have been sat in meeting rooms, training and office cover. Well, tonight the dream was going to be put to reality. I commenced with the fridge raid. Grabbed what was available for a quicky tea, filled the cool bag, sent a text to another local lass (bongo owner) and set off to find river side parking.
We found an ace stop off point in Roughlee, nr to a waterfall and grassy bank. Met up with Hotpot and promtly ingnited the gas stove for a well earned hot coffee. The girls and the pooch disappeared to the waters edge (except little legs and the pooch, they were in immediatley. Shoes and all) and played with in the last of the glorious if not crisp evening sun.
Time to get the tea on. So sausage butties where ordered. The light began to retire, but the Bongo lights were bright. We enjoyed the hearty feast and chatted in the comfort of the lounge set rear.
All I can say is, thank god for the bongo. A true home from home.
