"HOLD"

Post by Buzz the Bongo » Sun Mar 27, 2011 9:48 pm

Had a great weekend clearing out our garage to make room for our new Bongo... feel a lot more secure knowing it's parked indoors out of sight tonight.

Apologies in advance for my complete ignorance, and I have searched the forum first, but as the word is so generally used, it's hard to find my answer.

Could somebody please tell me what does the 'HOLD' mean on the gear stick labelling, and the light which comes on on the dash when you press the smaller button on the auto shift? Never driven an auto before!

I don't think i've ever used the "hold" button for it's intended use Buzz... The hold feature does however make a great engine retarder or "jake brake" when on a slight descent to help keep the speed in check
