Sliding Door Stuck - not electrical

Hey all

Went kitesurfing today (first decent run in the van) and on getting there the sliding door wouldn't open, turns out my mate had trapped his pump in the door when shutting it. The pump tube is compressible but at the end that's stuck there are about 3 different hard plastic adapters that are trapped. On looking at the lock from the outside it looks "locked" but the door wont move, obviously don't want to force anything and don't want to stick my fingers in, incase the "power close" (-whatever it's called) starts and slices my fingers off. Any one any ideas? Is it a case of inside panel off?

I've had a search but can only find topics regarding the relays and flat battery etc.

You could try pulling the blue 15 amp fuse on the bottom row?? (Cab fuse box.) & see if it disables the "soft closure" (motor pulling the door shut.) Its worth a try for a starter!!?

It looks as if the pump may have tangled with the lower front rolling support 72-250Z;

if the end of the pump was in front of the support then I would have thought it would open with a bit of force, but it wouldn't close, if its behind the support then it would trap against the step and the door won't open but it ought to close with a bit of pushing. If its actually sat on top of the support then probably trying to pull it up whilst forcing the door closed might do the trick, but a bit tricky to say the least

or pushing out from the inside whilst trying to open the door?

If you need to get in the side door as that could be the "best" way of releasing the door......well I would do it that way

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try tomorrow in the daylight..............disabling the soft closure first seems sensible, thought there would be some sort of "override" from inside but nothing obvious, will save my pinkies!! The lock is locked - the catch has come over and we can't seem to flick it back like the other door locks work.

We have tried gentle persuasion from inside but that doesn't seem to do anything, the handles also feel a bit too fragile to push harder.

Any other sparks of genius are welcome. oooooarrr!!!

Do you know how to get the door card off etc? It can be a bit fiddly from memory. I've forgotten the tip for getting the handle off.

I've got no idea.......used to simple VW T25 stuff where's it's obvious.......in the quick look we had earlier it didn't seem so simple. If you can remember it would be very handy!!!
