I need new tyres for my 15" steels on a 4wd. There's one passable 215 that I could use as a spare, so looking at getting a set of 4, same size all round.
I'm on a budget, so currently leaning towards Barum Bravuris 2's as 215's (just over £60 each fitted). Anyone got experience of these?
Alternatively I could go for the Barum Vanis, but these are quite a lot more expensive (£83 fitted), and only come as 195 70 15, so guess I'd need to get a fifth for a spare, which makes it all too expensive.
So is there any other 215's for around £60 I should be looking at? Something with strong sidewalls would be nice, as we're on a narrow street and park right up to the curb, hence looking at van tyres. Half decent grip in a muddy field would also be good. We don't do much mileage (> 5000 per year) and doubt we'll be taking it out in the snow.
Any opinions are much appreciated.

Barum's are made in the same factory as Continental, their parent company, the two tyres you mention are both competent enough .....one is a car tyre and one is a van tyre (vanis) and is a slightly harder ride BUT higher mileage than the car tyre......
Others use the excellent Accelra tyre which is around the £40-50 mark, dependent on supplier/area

The only Accelera's I've found are the Alpha's on Mytyres.co.uk, which are £58 unfitted, so work out more than the Bravuris. Couldn't find them in the right size on Camskill. Are there any other sites I should be looking at? National seem to have the best deal for the Bravuris I could find, though don't have any Accelera's.

If I can get £39 each, that's well worth a trip over the bridge
Will phone around the local places tomorrow and see what they can do first.
Thanks for the help.
