Hard to say from a pic Baz, but I'd agree with you, whiter, but if anything it looks dimmer to me? What type did you use? The one with a flat panel of 36 leds or like a tower of leds?

I changed mine after seeing a post on here, as I find the bongo's reversing lights poor. Certainly whiter, but I don't think it's any better.

ditto.....
going to fit a small spot light or two to my tow bar instead and graft them into my reversing light circuit to try and aid with after hours backwards driving, tinted windows dont help much either..lol
I even tried putting LEDs into my indicators but due to their low current draw they flash like mad, just like when a bulb has blown, so dont waste your dosh like i did.

if you want to run led indicators , you need to install a extra flasher unit to suit (available on the bay). effectively the vehicle's flasher relay thinks that a bulb has blown (led's draw virtually no current) , hence the rapid flash rate. i installed led indicators on my suzuki jeep but because i keep the old thing going on an uber-tight budget i made my own relays fron 5w bulbs hot glued into kinder egg toy containers & wired them into the circuit.job done.

Give em there own fused power off a relay...! (Like you would the fogs.)

Or it will dim/suck the power out of the OEM reverse lamps...
I fitted one lamp to only come on in reverse & with the lights on... Worked quite well for me! I always find it darker on the passenger side..
Switched feed using the top double switch..

Done mine a while back....
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... D&start=45

Can't believe that was October 2007.
It does not look much of a difference on the photos but it was noticable in use. The LEDs in number plate light does put a bit of light onto the road.

Brorabongo, your post just reminded me i have to at least clean the gunk out of my plate lenses....
.... & an idea for a pimp!

I saw the rear number plate light on a mate's new shape Astra light up on unlocking....
Quite handy finding the tailgate latch handle on a Bongo in the pitch dark when loading up...!
