LED Fog Light bulb - Facelift Bongo

My new shape Bongo has one of the reversing lights converted to a fog light by replacing the bulb with a red one and rewiring to a new switch on the dash. I assume this was done by Imperial when they imported and converted it.
The fog light isn't very bright so I want to replace the red bulb with a red LED bulb but I understand that the bulb type is different on the new shape. Has anyone on here done this and can advise me on the right LED bulb to buy?
I have already tried the search function and found loads of reference to bulbs for the older style but nothing for the facelifted Bongo.

29 views and no replies? Surely someone must have done this or know what type of bulbs are used in the facelift rear lights?

Hi,
I think you will find it quite hard to find a led bulb,and even a true red bulb.
Why do you want to change to a brighter bulb,did it fail the MOT.

No, just because it's not very bright. I have the same problem with the single reversing light which is obviously the same type of bulb but white.

Has nobody on this forum changed the reversing or fog lights on the new shape / facelift models or are they just not speaking to me?

I've tried to find LED bulb(s) for the reversing light but failed miseribly... They are a type of wedge bulb but they are W18W or seemingly W16W...... I've asked a number of bulb suppliers and none of them do an LED equivalent.

PS I have a 2001 model
I'm sure DBO has replaced his for LED's....
We got the bulb type of the old filament bulb, then searched for an LED equivalent. I'm sure he'll comment when he see's this thread...
