Northern Ireland

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

Northern Ireland

I'm planning a wee trip to Norn Ireland, going over from Troon on Wednesday night, abdck on Sunday evening. I think I'll be trundling round anti-clockwise, and want to visit the Giant's causeway since I've never been there.

So, any recommendations for what else to do (apart from the obvious consumption of black beer)?

We went to Ireland last Sept.
Stayed at Dundonald Ice Bowl camp site Belfast. On a main bus route to the city & bongo parked up safe all day on site.
Went north on the scenic coast route past Carrickfergus castle.
Fish & chips need to be eaten from Mortons Chip Shop, Ballycastle.
Went to Giants Causeway.Arrived about 5pm, but something tells me that if we'd arrived a little later the National Trust people would have gone home & we wouldn't have had to pay entry ... or was it car parking ...Mmmm can't quite remember.
Anyhow there is a distillery at Bushmills ......
Then onto Derry, a visit to the "museum of free Derry". Parking off Fahan Street/Rossville St. not far from museum & handy walk to rest of Derry.
We then continued south down the coast really, but I guess that's getting beyond your time limit..

Hope you have decent weather & a good trip what ever you do,
Nigel
