Help required with the fitting of a Erisin ES718
Having read the various threads about these units, and really fed up with the radio constantly needing re-tuning ( with a frequency extender), I've bitten the bullet and ordered an Erisin ES718, which arrived today. I also had bought a CT20MZ01 ISO loom adaptor as recommended on an earlier thread
2 issues
1. My old radio/cassette/cd player was already 2 DIN, but no mounting cage. It was held in place by spring clips mounted on the sides of the unit. The Erisin unit is a very slack fit, so need to get a holding cage. 2 sizes quoted when I searched Ebay, one is 182 x 103, the other is 182 x 113. Not sure what the dimensions refer to and which size I would need.
2. The ISO adaptor lead fits the Erisin set OK, but the 2 sockets on the other end are nowhere near the Bongo fitting, there is only 1 plug and on the Bongo, & this is described as a 24 pin audio connector on the original radio fitting instructions that came with the Bongo
All advice gratefully received, however simple it might seem to you, as I'm not into electrics at all
Thanks in advance, I'd like to be able to get it up and running by the week-end if possible
