Re: Scottish bash
It is this weekend Stuc and you would be more than welcome to join us at the Glenmore campsite on the shore of Loch Morlich by Aviemore. It can be booked online through Forest Holidays. If you do decide to join us then pm me your booking reference as I am trying toget us all placed close together on the sitestuc wrote:I have seen a few mention a scottish bash but when and where is it cos i live North East and may be the closest one to me, unless anyone fancies meeting local sometime?

Re: Scottish bash
The next Scottish meet is at Aviemore which must be around 200 miles from you. Surely The North West Meet at Gibraltar Farm in Silverdale on Morecambe Bay must be closer to you. Been to a couple of meets at Gibraltar Farm myself but unfortunately have too much on to go to the next one. That said distance has never put Muz off.

Re: Scottish bash
Stornoway black pudding? - I'll bring some of that there square sausage and some cloutie dumpling to go with it

Re: Scottish bash
not just black pudding, some white pudding and fruit pudding (same as clootie) too. Getting it sent down from Stornoway today.
Will get some nice eggs to go with it. The square sausage is called Lorne sausage.

Re: Scottish bash
Our friends run a cafe, and refer to Lorne sausage as'dirty sausage' because of the mess it makes in the frying pan. I always ask for 'dirty sausage' if I go there.Bongopoet wrote:not just black pudding, some white pudding and fruit pudding (same as clootie) too. Getting it sent down from Stornoway today.![]()

Fraser's Butchers in Aviemore do Lorne sausage with haggis in the middle........great on the BBQ

Why?...........Because somebody might wave back.
