Post by dozergyp1 » Mon Aug 29, 2011 11:07 pm

Hi All,
I am new to the bongo family, Just got my 1996 2.5 4x4
Have only done a few miles so far and very pleased with how it runs
Today the sediment light came on "What is it"? Also where can i find out any
info on the fuse box which is which fuse, And general things to look out for
Any help would be great.
Thanks All :?

Welcome to the forum :D
The sediment light could be indicating that there is sediment/water in the bottom of the fuel filter under the drivers seat, to check you'll see a white plastic knob on the bottom with 2 wires connected, unclip the wires on the connector & turn the knob with a jar under the nozzle in the plastic knob to drain the filter.
If this does not work it could be the start of alternator issues as the sediment & charge light on together indicates alternator issues, see this thread - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=51361

Fuses info & much more is in the paid up members area, not expensive to join, or if you do a search on the forum http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =42&t=6587 I think it's here somewhere.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
