Our trip to Skye

Post by mountainmummy » Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:22 am

Just back from a trip to Skye.

Here's the Freda posing near Glengarry

Spent one night in Sheil Bridge campsite which was OK but a bit midge ridden. Hubby climbed the Five Sisters of Kintail while me and the kids packed the tent etc back up then drove up and down the road several times trying to find the layby we'd arranged to meet him in

Next we moved to Glenbrittle campsite in Skye which was just great. Wildflower meadows, massive mountains, beach, sea, fresh air and best of all sun.

Donald climbed Bla Bheinn

Can't wait for our next trip now.

Awesome. Brilliant cloud free summits!! :D

Skye is on my to do list also. I note your comments on campsites, but all should be a lot more comfortable in the bongo as i used to have just a tent.

Ahh those ruddy midges!! :x
