Hi
My number plate light has a fault I think it in the wire as it sometimes works when boot is open I'm going to take of rear panel and look soon how's the best way to fit replace wire ? And where does the wire go after going into body or can I run it off a different wire ?
Thanks

Re: Number plate light not working
Are they both affected or just one? If both, then it could be the wiring loom where it passes from tailgate to roof via the rubber tube. If just one, then it's likely to be poor contact on bulb or holder.
Remove the 2 cross head screws that hold the clear plastic dome to each light. The screws are likely to be quite rusty and the clear plastic dome is prone to cracking so don't be surprised if it breaks when removing / refitting. Pull the bulb out and give the wires a clean up with fine sandpaper. Try swapping the bulbs over when putting it back together and see if the fault moves or stays with same holder.

good chance break is at high level were loom passes fron van to tailgate

Same problem here plus rear window demister not working, although the warning light came on. Broken wire inside the tailgate
