Heater and fan

Post by edmansell » Sat Jul 27, 2013 9:09 am

Hi - I've had my bongo for a few months (1995 Diesel 2.5), and the front fans/heater were always temperamental, sometimes they would work sometimes they wouldn't. They have now settled into not working at all! I have done all the things which have been suggested in help topics - changed fuses, taken apart the fan assembly under the bonnet, checked resistor unit, replaced fan motor. Nothing has made any difference. I noticed that no lights come on the control panel, I presume something should come on when I press the air con button, or when I turn the fan speed dial? I presume this means that no power is going through the panel. I also took the control panel off and checked all the electrical connections, nothing appears loose or corroded.

Any ideas? (please bear in mind that my mechanical ability is strictly "enthusiastic amateur").

Thanks,

Ed
