starting problem 20ltr
Right, iv'e had a problem with what i thought was damp starting and after spraying all leads, dizzy etc and leaving for 20-30 min starts up. this morning, no start, tested all the plugs and all sparking, each one was wet with petrol when i removed them. wire brushed the plugs and the contact points inside the dizzy, sprayed everything again with wd. left for 30 min and try again, after engine turning over for ages and firing now and then finally bursts into life, ( i have to park on a STEEP drive, reversed onto drive) revved for a while to warm up and ticking over fine, as soon as i put into D and touch the throttle revs die and won't pull away. finally got up off the drive. Any thoughts from the ones with the wisdom? Serviced 6 month ago 1500 miles since. been running fine other than this problem.
