wireing a power unit

Post by don320 » Wed Aug 26, 2015 3:16 pm

Hi I am installing a power unit I have a wiring diagram for a Zig unit which is much the same as mine.
Can you tell me what amperage of the positive cable that runs from the leisure battery to the unit on the diagram it shows a 25 amp fuse between the battery relay and power unit Diagrams are great for telling you which fuse to fit but never the correct amperage of the wiring to use thanks I have a PMS 34 unit

The wiring will need to be somewhere greater the rating of the highest Amperage fuse in the circuit. For a 25A fuse, I'd probably use cable rated at 40A. The higher the rating of the cable, the less voltage drop you'll get too, so try to stick with the beefier cables where possible.
