Starting problems

Hi I just connected a wire from my battery to the glow plug bar and the van started first time so I have ordered a linkable fused wire and hope it's that and not the relay will let you all know which one it was thanks to everyone for there help and assistance

I know its not gospel,but,can you hear the relay clicking when you switch the ignition on.
