misfire when warm V6
I have a v6 petrol and it starts every time but when it gets warm it starts to lose power and missfire dont know if it is any help but you hear a fan kicking in when the power goes and you have to lift off the throttle and let it go under its own steam there is also a ticking noise comming from around the coil when you accelerate any help would be most welcome as im really at a loss and love my freda

Maybe the ignition system needs looking at / replacing ..
Lift the engine covers in a dark place .. rev the engine and look for any sparks jumping / arcing over from the H/T system .. leads / plugs / ignition coil ..
Plugs are very .... very easy to replace .. a set of six NGK BKRE 11 are around £10 on eBay ..

Dizzy cap .. rotor .. leads can be expensive and awkward to change .. but a DIY job ..



As they are a quarter of the price of OEM ..I used English made guaranteed for life pattern part plug leads ..

Lift the engine covers in a dark place .. rev the engine and look for any sparks jumping / arcing over from the H/T system .. leads / plugs / ignition coil ..

I had exactly this issue a couple of months ago, I checked all the ignition system and it turned out to be the HT leads.
Fitted the same as shown in Mike's post, all now runs fine.

Yep I also changed the HT leads and cured the problem. Fitted a set of magnacor leads they are cheaper than the factory Mazda set, still a bit expensive compared to the stuff on eBay, but high on quality, a priority if running on LPG.

Welcome to the club.
I can only back up what has already been said in the replies you have already had. I have 2 V6 bongos and both developed ignition related symptoms similar to yours. HT faults are frequently accompanied with clicking sounds which is the leads breaking down and the HT arcing to earth. Due to the design of the van the engines tent to get very hot as heat is trapped around the top of the engine bay & this adds to the ageing/break down of the leads.
It is really worth getting all of the HT system components swapped out, it will pay dividents in the long tearm.
