So next thing is why was my battery flat when i went to tow it home the next day after it broke down. it had driven down from staffordshire to winchester, then to portsmouth with about half hours worthof interior lights.
by thway what does the panel in the back do with the "charger supply" and fuses etc in... the chargeur supply switch was in the "off position" does this then not charge the car battery?
next question from the newbie that just bought a pig lol

Converted Bongo's aren't standard! All the conversions are different you need to give us pictures or at least Make and versions of units to be able to help!

Re: next question from the newbie that just bought a pig lol
sorry just picking up on TOW, never tow an auto unless rear wheels suspended, if its a 4WD it must MUST go on a flat bed, on a 2WD the auto box will be spinning over without the pump going and it will knacker drive bands and other things if it gets hot, 4WD it can do the same and knacker the transfer box.
As to the electrical issues, anyone decent should wire it so whatever position the switch the vehicle battery should be charged, and if you have selectable if should disengage the vehicle battery at a given voltage to allow enough power to be left in it to start if you can select to run habitation from vehicle battery.
The best manner was as willinton kits used to do, was split charge voltage sensing all habitation wired to leisure battery.

You might knacker the auto box, but the transfer box is independent of the auto box lube system it has its own lubrication system ...1.6 litres of 80/90 gl5 .
Just a bit of useless information.
