Air con pump
Hi I recently got my Air Con charged it worked fine the first day and is not working now I took it back to Quick fit who checked it out the gas level was fine and no leaks a friend told me that the clutch on the pump was not kicking in does anyone know what might be stopping it if you could please help that would be great thanks don 320
Re: Air con pump
The clutch is electrically operated, I wonder if its worth checking the pressure sensor, just by the fill point by the cooling radiator, lift the bonnet and between headlight and radiator you will see the bottle with a connector, check its OK?

Re: Air con pump
This from Northern Bongalow in a previous post may help.
to test if its just pressure thats stopping it working do the following.
switch the unit to on and make sure the fan is on too. turn ignition on then lift the bonnet behind the front grill screwed to the front of the rad is the viewing spy hole on the top of the liquid bottle see link.
on top is a 2 wire plug, pull off the plug and short the plug across with a bit of wire, the compressor should click in and out.
if it doesnt it is a mechanical fault or belt issue etc.
