Clubcare insurance

Post by sotal » Sat Jul 02, 2016 10:09 pm

Anyone know if there is a way to renew the Bongo insurance with the camping and caravan club (clubcare insurance) on a Sunday?!

Realised today that it runs out at midnight today, but when I phoned this afternoon I discovered they were closed on Saturdays after 12. It looks like they don't open again until Monday at 9am.

Can cope tomorrow without using it but could really do with it to get one of us to work before 9 on Monday!

Happy enough with the renewal they sent through - just want to proceed! Logged into the website and can see a mention of it but can't find anything to click to renew.

Failing that any other companies I could try? I did shop around last year a bit when I we purchased the Bongo and the one we went to was about half the cost of the nearest competitor. We paid £189 last year and the renewal is about £200 this time.

Well couldn't find a way and couldn't find an insurance company that could come anywhere near them on price.

Ended up having to get a lift from a colleague to work and back!

As a bonus though I've been looking for breakdown cover and not finding much at a decent price that will cover the Bongo at it's age. They offered me breakdown cover with home start etc for £39. European cover was only £79 too.

So happy with that, just realised that our previous Breakdown cover expired in August last year, thank goodness the Bongo has behaved on all the long journeys we've done!
