night heater on 2.0

hi all, is it possible to fit a night heater to the 2.0 petrol? if so is there a recommended one and where would be the best place for it?

Ours is a webasto airtop 200 or summat. It's great. I'd fit yourself as there's not that much too it. If you want any pics etc let me know.

cheers mark, is yours a 2.5 diesel bongo, and does the night heater run off diesel or can it run off petrol too? To be honest i'm not sure how they actually work
Will be definitely investing is one before summer is finished

The two big players are Webasto and Eberspacher, although there are Chineese makes for a lot less £££.

They will use diesel or petrol, but are not dual fuel, and if buying used make certain it's 12v not 24v.

There is the option to fit a small diesel tank somewhere just to supply the heater, and you could use red diesel in that, but running from the main tank is likely easier and less chance of forgetting to fill up or fuel going bad in the tank.

Yes.

A seperate tank which only feeds the heater will not be subject to road fuel duty as it is not powering the engine.

bob is right because you are not using it for road use, you can use red diesel in generators and diesel heaters as well as plant vehicles, need to find a way of registering the bongo as a plant vehicle

It would be worthwhile checking the FRENCH regulations regarding the fuel, also its advisable to get your Insurance policy to cover the flame thrower in/on the vehicle.

like that, flowers. yeah i didnt consider the french side of things as they are strict as hell with vehicle regs but its all good cos ma bongos a petrol 2.0 and i dont really want to have 2 fuel types on board. The paints done so also she's looking very smart and clean considering she has 160000 on the clock. just that bloody alt pulley(which i'm waiting on direct from japan) and that radiator support. Waxoyl arrives tomorrow and i got plenty rust converter left over. Then finally upgrades lovin' it

Mine’s a 2.5 diesel so hopefully that’ll simplify things so far the fuel supply.. hopefully

The Auld Girl is 2.5 1995
