Sink pump wiring
Hi all
I have a combination sink and hob installed in a side conversion. The conversion was done before I bought the vehicle but was all new.
I can't seem to get any power to the sink pump to pump water.
It seems to be wired into a black cable that runs behind the side card. See pic 1.
This then reappears further towards the rear of the van and then goes down behind the right rear trim. See pic 2 and pic 3.
Does anyone have any idea what these may be wired into? I've tried the aftermarket fog light but had no success.
I realise all conversions are different but any ideas are gratefully received.
Thanks Steve

Re: Sink pump wiring
Do you have a Leisure Battery ?
Do you have a 12 volt control panel, and is there a switch for selecting either battery with centre Off, its normal to pickup the supply from the control panel possibly with its own switch & fuse on the panel.

Hi Geoff
Yes I do have a leisure battery fitted.
I dont have a control Panel that I can see. If I did i suspect it would be a simple one. Where might one be tucked away?
Thanks

Re: Sink pump wiring
Have you removed the connectors from the switch on the bottom of the tap, checked if there's power, then checked the switch itself?
If that’s ok I'd check the pump from a direct supply.

Re: Sink pump wiring
Control panels look like below;
I notice that the Brown wire isn't attached not sure where the lead goes but I would expect that to be connected as well!
Re: Sink pump wiring
I had to look really close, but I think the lower brown is connected to the blue, from the switch, which passes behind the water pipe.
I think.

Yes think your right Bob!
Re: Sink pump wiring
Thanks Geoff and Bob
I'll have a look around for a control panel or switch and test the wiring to see if it's live.
Thanks

Re: Sink pump wiring
If the pump doesn't have push on connectors you can likely get a probe into the crimp connectors.
