Is it worth then buying the new ones? Or does anyone know someone who sells them, but refurbished (stripped down and serviced)? I have seen the amazing post by Bluspanner on servicing the motors, but afraid is way beyond my skills

New roof motors vs used
Hello everyone. Wanted to get some advise please. My roof motors need to be replaced and the 'new ones' are very expensive, the second hand ones a lot cheaper, but they all say "tested and working OK", which could mean that they could work for a short period of time?

Why not refurbish the old ones ? Its not a difficult job, full facts in the Factsheet area for members of the club. "Roof motor repair" you need to logon to the members area first https://igmaynard.co.uk/wp-content/uplo ... ervice.pdf
