Post by corblimey » Mon Jan 08, 2007 3:06 pm

Hi all

Anyone know the difference between the different Zig CF models?

Can't find anything on their website.

Cheers

Hi Grumpo

Thanks for the link. Slightly more info than the offical Zig website.

Seems like you need goverment security clearance to find useful technical info on these units! They didn't make the defibulator 007 uses in Casio Royal by any chance?

I've just emailed Zig so if they come back with anything interesting I will share. Fingers crossed.

Cheers

If you are considering a complete EHU installation, might I suggest a
Zig POWERMASTER unit which is double insulated and provides
all the necessary protection for your own safety if you intend to install
any mains voltage socket outlets. More expensive, but simple to install.

Yeah that looks like a nice solution and one less box to find a home compared with zig cf and consumer unit combo. As you say a bit pricey though.

I heard back from Zig about 5 mins after I emailed them and they are going to post some info on. That's pretty good service.

I also found a pdf of the cf8 manual here http://www.club80-90.co.uk/docs/zig-cf8.pdf if anyone needs it. If anyone is interested I'd download it and save it rather than rely on the link; you never know how long it will stay live for.

Thanks for the input Grumpo
