Re: Wiring Rearview Camera
Sorry for the delay replying..........no - just cannot figure out what the problem is and decided I couldn't be bothered to take it to an auto electrician. As it is i am probably going to have to sell Bonnie and so for safety sake I will put the old stereo back in as I had already installed a Pure H...

Re: Wiring Rearview Camera
So I did a couple of other quick checks. I also realised that the RedGreen is switched live (by the ignition) and not permanent as I stated earlier - sorry. If I disconnect this white 5 lead connector from the unit then everything else on the unit works, just not the rear view camera. The display di...

Re: Wiring Rearview Camera
So just managed to figure out with my multi-meter, earthed to the chassis - if you look at the image of the white connector with 1 row of five wires (image 20160507_100607.jpg) 1) The middle wire RedGreen is a permanent live 12V supply and remains at 12V when I engage reverse. Also it is not the mai...

Re: Wiring Rearview Camera
Hi All any additional help on the above topic would be much appreciated. I have just ordered a Pioneer satnav/dab unit and so will need to figure out the wiring connections as I am in the same position but possibly have a slightly different wiring configuration that I need to figure out. I was strug...

Re: Bongo Courtesy Lights Problem After Installing Clock
Hi Geoff - thanks for the prompt reply.........I added another pic to the google drive as I seem to have a black, blue/red and green/red lead.
I assume your advice still applies and that by "display" you mean my clock ( yes with an l - bloody amateur I know!) ?

Re: Breakdown cover for the over sixteens
I am with the RAC - just had a chat about adding my trailer for a summer holiday to France (it is covered in the UK) and the very kind lady advised me to join the Caravan Club and then do a corporate RAC membership next time around. You get the trailer automatically covered, in its own right, not ju...

Re: Air Lifters
I must have been lucky..............although arms were aching from jack up.........jack down........jack up again.......... I did use spring compressors and axle stands and that enabled me to feed the cylinders, pipes and caps in from the top, once I had dropped the rear arm a little. No other bits ...

V6 Starting Problem
I experienced this problem for the first time this morning. I have a 10 year old V6 Petrol imported into the UK last year - converted by JAL. Temperature outside was about -5 degrees and when I turned on ignition the low coolant warning sounded and then just a click from the ignition and nothing mor...

Re: Air Lifters
Hi all - just fitted mine this morning.....not finished yet as the T piece was missing so cant inflate them as yet. I fitted them with the valve downwards as per many of the posts. The thick washer at the bottom with the grooved face bottom most and the thinner washer on the top. I did think that wa...
