Re: Both Driver and Passenger electric windows stopped worki

This happened to me (Mirrors, Leccy windows only working intermitantly) and after reading many threads it was evident that the wiring loom in the doors is to blame. Indeed I checked the looms and both were damaged. I spent the afternoon cutting pieces of the loom out and re-soldering new pieces of ...

Re: New F filter,Leads,Plugs,Diz cap,Rot arm.Still won't sta

Ok. Like most of you, I work full time so it's dark when I leave in the morning and dark when I return home. Therefore, I have not checked anything yet. So...in the 3 days since I wrote this thread the vehicle has started first time, every time. It would be nice to think the problem is now solved ...

Re: New F filter,Leads,Plugs,Diz cap,Rot arm.Still won't sta

This is becoming crazy!

This morning at 7:30am I went out to the vehicle to start it up. It wouldn't start after about 30 seconds of turning over. So, I goes back in the House and have my Breakfast while I contemplate my next move. Gets my Coat on, comes out of The House (2 hours later) ready for ...

New F filter,Leads,Plugs,Diz cap,Rot arm.Still won't start

Hi all

I am having problems with my R Reg, 2L Petrol Freda. Basically, it was fine about 2 months ago when we drove it all over the North West. Drove well, started first time all weekend etc and indeed has started first time since I got it in September. Then...the day after we came home from the ...

Re: Problems starting... But only 1st thing in the morning??

I posted this elsewhere and someone asked if I had run the fuel right down.

Guilty! I did just that... So now I am thinking that there may be gunk (from the bottom of the tank) in the engine workings.

I'm now wondering if it's worth buying a commercial product injector cleaner.

Another ...

Re: Problems starting... But only 1st thing in the morning??

Thanks all

Missus has gambled on taking the kids camping (pre booked 8 months ago) and she tells me all is OK and Bongo starts first time... Even though it is parked up in a field as we speak amongst the wettest spell we've had for ages. Don't know whether to just ignore it and hope it goes away.

Problems starting 2L.. But only 1st thing in the morning????

Hi all

We've had our 2L Petrol Freda for about 2 months. Got it serviced (and cam belt done) the day we got it. Since then it has been brilliant. It starts first time & runs like a dream. That was until last week. Indeed we had the vehicle out all last weekend and done loads of A road miles from ...

If you're fed Up with Your sound system maybe this'll help

Hi all

I'm not after Advice. I'm posting here to help others.

If like me your Bongo sound system is dodgy then if you don't mind spending a few quid here's a possible answer..

Remove back panels yourself. You can change the standard supplied speakers (you'll find that they are only 20W 4ohm ...

Re: Passenger Elec Mirror & window not working...Advice??

Hi all

I think I may of found my problem. see the attached Pic. You will see there are 3 wires broken. Yes, 3! I am planning to solder in a patch piece. I assume I can use any wire as long as it is thicker/heavier than the wire I am replacing? We have an old reading lamp that has 240V Power cable ...

Re: Passenger Elec Mirror & window not working...Advice??

Thanks for the info. Is the loom (that runs from the switch to the Mirror) hard to locate because this week I am stripping the whole interior out of the vehicle so I can clean/Jetwash the carpet after I removed it?

Thanks

Re: Passenger Elec Mirror & window not working...Advice??

Hi guys

Yes. I've flicked the Toggle. No joy. After reading up on here I did suspect the loom. I have a voltmeter. Just wondering how to use it to find the problem

Thanks

Passenger Elec Mirror & window not working...Advice??

Hi all

On our new Bongo the Passenger Electric window doesn't operate from the passenger switch, but works fine from the drivers switch. Also, the Electric Mirror on that same passenger side does not work either. After reading posts on here I put 2 & 2 together and suspected a faulty wire in the ...

Looking forward to coming down and seeing a few different interiors and pick up some ideas. The thing we're most interested in is sleeping set ups etc, as opposed to Cooking in etc.

Thank you.

Clitheroe 11th Oct..You show me yours, I'll show you mine !!

Hi all

We have recently picked up a Bongo on EBay. At this very moment (11th Sept 13), it is being analysed & assessed by Adrian @ Japan Direct in Bury. We are expecting a few problems, but not loads. Then we need to get the vehicle through its MOT. By the time all this is done it will be early/mid ...

Not being an expert...What's the pro's & Cons of Low profile tyres and how will it affect the load restrictions? I want to make sure I get the correct tyres for safety and insurance purposes. I have never heard of this load thingy on a tyre before today. I have a company car so when I ...
