Re: Wynn's coolant system flush

Thanks for the replies and advice. Could someone please offer a second opinion on the directions given on the can; It says to add coolant flush and run the engine for 10 minutes.... Obviously the bottom hose and stat opening takes considerably longer than this..... What do you think? thanks Persona...

Re: Ramps

I bought plastic Rhino ramps with rating of a few more tonnes. Much easier to store and give me 8 inch height I think. Got no link to hand and think I bought off Amazon.

Re: Fiamma tripod table support any good?

I bought a tripod as it then allows me to use the table outside on a good day. Not used it yet though.

Re: Drive Away Awning

The more parts you use may result in any rain water dripping between the joins. Longer the better - store it in the roof when not in use.

Re: Temp gauge fact sheet - modifying standard temperature g

I did the mod and got some worried about the temp needle going up and down that I took the mod off to put back to normal. Now the needle just stays near the 11:00 position and I know that this is OK. Once less thing to 'worry' about. head, bucket, sand! . You're supposed to be able to ...

Re: Draining coolant system...

Drain stop cock will be slow to drain so if you wanted full drain then go for the removal of pipe. However, I think that there will still be a bit of coolant left in the system but not a lot you can do about that. Some people say have the rear of the van much higher than the front so that any extra ...

Re: Fuel filter service interval...

The actual Mazda service interval of the fuel filter is 50,000 Km's.
As with any fuel filter, if you use non-standard fuel in it then you may need to replace sooner. The 'how sooner' is the bit that cananot be specified as there are too many if's and but's.

Fuel in the UK is good quality so if you go abroad a lot then it may need replacing more often.

In general ... look at what they are offering. Some cover only to local garages, some will repatriate you, etc.

Sometime a quick tap with a hammer to tighten the bolts UP may free a stuck bolt.

Re: tappety after oil change

10w/30 is the advised oil but easier to get hold of 10w/40. Don't flush an old engine too often as removing old caked on stuff may cause other issues.
