Re: Snowdonia In Springtime.
The Bongomiester has provided me with the contact details for the big site.
An introductory email was sent on thursday regarding our little shin-dig.
I've scribbled a list of all the warm & cuddly peeps intending on coming & will post a fresh thread as soon as I get conformation back on booking dates.
As a sideline, there's a prize for anyone coming up with a better name for this do than either Taffs 'n Daffs or Mr Munkeys Spunky Weekend . . . . .

Put me down for a possible (or even a probable) for this please. I'm up for the Snowdon walk - climbed it at least 30 times over the years but it's always different. One of the most memorable was during the severe winter of 1979 (anyone remember proper winters?).......

That's the railings, outside the cafe, caked in rime ice. These were taken in Feb 79.
There's been a tendency for cold springs in recent years so bear in mind it could still be quite wintry on the tops in mid-march. Also the train won't go to the summit station if there's any snow on the track.

I'm sure the global warming brigade will have us believe that over the last 29 years, not only has all that snow melted but there are palm trees growing on the Summit now Dave.
Anyway - even if the train only makes the three quarter trip, its high enough up - believe me!
