electric window switch

Help!

Got the dreaded passenger window problems! Seemed to be related to the isolator on the drivers door switch. If I pressed it hard the window would work.... so, remember reading on here that someone had bypassed this part of the switch. Have tried to find that thread again but no joy.

Thought I would do that last night, so took the switch off to have a look. Could not make out on the board where the contacts were going so thought I would unscrew the white backing to inspect closer!

I was left looking at small spring and ball bearing that appeared as if by magic giving me no clue whatsoever where it escaped from. The rocker now has no click to it

Anyone on here know where it sprung from... if you excuse the pun!

Cheers

If I remember right doesn't the switch have a hollow tube in the centre? The spring goes in first, then the ball bearing which should work on what looks like an "M" shaped thingy ( excuse the technical jargon) to give you the 'click'
Very fiddly to do :(
I managed to make one good switch out of the bongo switch and a switch from a mazda 323
Good luck and remember, patience can save a lot of money :D

Did not actually get the switch part out, it was just sitting in the bottom of the switch.

Will take it out again tonight and have a closer look. Was a bit rushed last night.

Cheers
