Re: Tour of the Hebrides
Hi Tony it was your talk of the hebrides that inspired us to plan the trip in the first place. Thanks for that. We only had midges on Arran and did not spot any until we had left skye on the way home. We think this is because it was windy a lot of the time. Shame you have to choose between nice weather or the midges. I personally preferred the cold as I found the midges horrible and after Arran wondered if I was going to have to chicken out and go home. Glad I stuck it out and we have vague plans to go back we loved it so much. Just two of us next time to make touring less hassle.

Thanks for the pics hatris, really stunning, glad you had a good hols
I must have got lucky as I found a brill site on Arran last year, seal shore at Kildonan, next to the beach, no midges there, just flippin windy, but I know which I'd rather have too

Re: Tour of the Hebrides
Hi Anne, dig out a nice pic of Seal Bay and show us. Don't think we got to make a fair judgement of Arran but it was just so wet and dark, overcast. Even when we visited the cheese place and the castle, with a great viewing spot, could not see beyond the trees. Hard to get into the holiday spirit when the weather is a total washout. Would really like to see pics of when it wasn't raining. Trish
Re: Tour of the Hebrides
Sorry Trish, I didn't take many pics. I had 2 nights there, would have had longer if a job hadn't come up with work

taken just outside the bongo at seal shore site (these pics don't do any justice to how nice the beach was)
facilities were excellent, £10 pn with hookup, thanks to the bongoers I met off the ferry who live on arran for the recommendation

I am really liking your hebrides pics as I hope I can do that next year

Thanks Anne, lovely pics. We ended up with no pics of Arran except the cheesy one on facebook. Might pinch yours.
