Well i went to do the fuel sender wires today and started ripping out the carpet, till i reached the rails for the middle seats. It suddenly dawned on me that this is not as easy a job as i first thought.
Will i have to remove the side panels, trims, seats, belts, rail covers in order to do this. The reason i ask is two fold, firstly obviously to get at the fuel sender and secondly i will soon be embarking on some work that will require me to remove one or more of these panels anyway, maybe i should wait.

Re: Fuel sender cover and carpet
no as carpets split as i recall and just slots around them
for sure never had to remove things to get it out
found a paint scraper handy to retuck under the sides though

Should get away with sliding the plastic covers back on the rails which should then allow the carpet to be lifted, but I think it'll be easier with the seats & that side panel out if you're going to have it out anyway in the near future.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
