Non coolant leak
Hi all
just noticed some watery liquid under the van, not coolant, seems to be coming from near the intercooler, any ideas?

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Hi
thanks for quick reply! Yes had the aircon on few days ago (never used it before), forgive my ignorance, but what is the condensate drain and is it normal for this to happen when using the aircon?
thanks

Re: Non coolant leak
Drain tube that removes the rain water from the gully under the windscreen??
..I know it's a bit further forward? But Water always seem to give the appearance of coming from somewhere else...

yup, totally normal, water condenses on the cold evap matrix as the air flows through & drains out of the bottom scaring you witless that you've just sprung a leak

Re: Non coolant leak
Same with my pee-tube. Scared myself witless one morning till I realised coolant was a green colour

Re: Non coolant leak
One doesn't like to ask the colour of draining liquid.

for those that don,t know ,this really helps on those cold frosty/windscreen fogged up mornings, start engine, put heat to max on windscreen , turn on air conditioning , a/c is now hot DRY air , and so demists screen much quicker.
so a/c is not only for those lovely hot days but cold damp/wet as well
sorry if i seemed to hijack this thread , but it just seemed to fit in with the topic !!!!!

Re: Non coolant leak
Not sure that condensate drain is the answer. Eoptio said that he had the aircon on a "few days ago".

Re: Non coolant leak
thanks for answers all, no more liquid under the van today, yes it was a few days ago I had the aircon on, not driven since, rained quite a lot here recently so perhaps combination of air con drain and the drain tube. No idea what else it could be?
