Towing a Bongo

Read somewhere that 4x4 Bongos should not be towed does anyone know why not??

Two main reasons as I understand it,
1 - auto gearbox will self destruct if it's towed as the oil won't be pumping around, kinda like running the engine with no oil pumping round
2- 4wd will "wind itself up" , you could tow it if you disconnect the front propshaft, but you'd still have the issue of it being an auto (unless yours is one of the rare manual ones)
