Check the stop solenoid:

Nr 24-3002

http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... mgno=.html

Should activate with 12v across it. You could try giving it a tap of encouragement, or unscrew and operate manually!

eta That's a drawing of the diesel pump, living under the driver's seat, in case it's not clear!

Do a forum search for "stop solenoid" and all will become clear:

http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... mit=Search

Other methods of stopping engine:

1. Disconnect fuel pipe feed to fuel pump
2. Block air intake

I'd go for nr1 if I had to.

C02 fire extinguisher aimed at the intake should do it, if the turbos leaking oil then good luck but it prob would have gone bang by now if it was that.

All he's got to do is disconnect the fuel line - or can't he find the engine #-o
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Blimey - it even runs with the fuel line disconnected? I'd keep it quiet - you might be on to something big!

I reckon you might win the mpg thread if you play your cards right...

If it's got no fuel going to it, then it must be consuming the oil from the sump, you need to stop the air getting in, best way may be to go under the passy seat where the turbo is disconnect the plastic u bend on thr front of the turbo & block the air inlet to the intercooler/engine. If it's left to run it will go bang as it will have no lubrication, co2 extinguisher suggestion may be worth trying cos you want it stopped quick.
Either that or the mechanic ain't stopped the fuel going in?
