after bumps /hard braking oil light and slight ticking noise

when i do an emergency stop or go over a big bump the oil light comes on and a strange soft ticking noise happens. in variably when i switch the engine off and back on the oil light goes off.

i had the oil switch replaced but problem still there

Check the oil level?

Just a thought... Any other inconsistencies with the dial pod read out when this happens..?

Put another litre of oil in.

Just a thought....you are checking the engine oil and not the Auto box level.....????

Are you looking at the right warning light.
Not sure about the bongo, heavy braking and lowish fluid will have the brake warning light flashing.
