The 1 hour boats from new quay go up to here we have seen seals there several times

there are quite a few dolphins feeding around here but to be honest we have seen them just as frequently on the 1 hour trip and from the harbour wall in new quay (scan out to the right from the sea end of the wall there is a marker bouy where they hang out.
The place in the second link is where i went swimming in october great beach and often decent surf
BUT there are some dodgy currents around the rocks on the right so you,d need to keep an eye on the kids.Driving to either place isnt for the faint hearted but well worth it.
