Can anyone help. I replaced my Diesel pump seals today as per the fact sheet.
When I removed the dome shaped cover at the front the plunger and a cup shaped cap fell out.
I have put the new seals in and the dome shaped cap back on , but cannot get the engine to start.
Tried cranking with the pedal fully pressed.
Can anyone tell me which way round the bits that fell out go?
I have tried them all different ways round.
I've got some pics of the bits but can't work how to put them on.
Thanks
Garry

Thanks for the replies , but this diagram doesn't show the bits behind the dome cover.

Re: Diesel pump seals
This thread by dandywarhol shows how to change the pump seals with pictures http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... pump+seals
It could also be a case of air in the injection pump & it just wants bleeding. This thread should help http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... pump+seals

Re: Diesel pump seals
After looking at your photo & then re-reading my attached threads I am unclear which way round the 2 items should be assembled but I am certain they should be inserted into the injection pump before the coil springs.I would try putting your 2 items together & seeing which way they seem to fit together best (look closely at score marks & other stained impressions of metal contact) & does one end of the pin fit inside the inner spring better than the other.
You could try sending Colyn a P.M to see if he can remember how he put his back together & give you some advice, but it is a while since he has been active on the forum....
If you do get it sorted, a couple of photo's of the correct assembly may be beneficial for the future.... I would take some photo's of the arrangement you try so know which combination you have tried if & when you have to take it to pieces again until you get it right.
Good Luck
