Diesel fuel filter

Post by Oldboybob » Tue Jan 04, 2011 4:14 pm

Hi, can anyone tell me if when replacing the fuel filter on a diesel bongo (1995) do you fill up the new filter with fresh diesel before fitting. Thanks. :D

You dont have to but you'll find your car will stall after 30 secs and take a bit of cranking, usually standard procedure to fill the new filter with injector cleaner so it gives them a pure dose of cleaner, if not then just put some clean diesel in.
