Fuel pump timing

Post by Tricky Dicky » Sat Jun 04, 2011 3:30 pm

Hi All, This is not strictly a bongo prob, just a Bongo engine problem. My Friend has fitted a 2.5 td motor from a Bongo into a Ford Ranger, however the Ranger fuel pump has a chip inside so it was fitted to the Bongo motor, problem is pump timing ,can't seem to find any info on setting up fuel pump timing. So come on all you boffins.
Thanks for any help in advance.

pump timing is set by a locating key (woodruff) as you install the pump? as its directly driven from the crank?
