Can someone please answer a simple question for me, I have a full camper side conversion which includes 110 amp leisure battery. Should this battery if correctly wired in charge up when the vehicle is in motion. My van has 3 batteries now, two in front and an inboard leisure battery. Do I actually need two batts in the front, sorry if this sounds dumb but Im not a techie person. My inboard battery always seems to be going flat even when Im on mains hookup and Im continually having to put the charger on to keep it charged up. I want to go without electric hookup this summer but if batt keeps going flat not much chance of that.
Cheers

It will vary from conversion to conversion as they are basically custom, not many fit a third battery internally however. Can you name who did the conversion and style, others may have the same type and can comment. The only other way to find out is ring the converter, or start investigation the wiring. Do you have a EHU fitted as well ?

Yes we have EHU...when I had a motorhome some years ago this did charge when driven......seems a bit excessive 3 batteries.
